  • Refrigerate your mixture for at least an hour. The cooled mixture will yield light and airy crepes.
  • Quickly soak your batter spreader or T-Stick in water. A damp spreader will prevent the mixture from sticking.
  • ​Slowly heat the cooking plate and make sure it’s hot enough before pouring the batter. An inadequately heated plated will give you a soggy crepe.
  • ​Spread a thin coat of oil or butter on the cooking plate.
  • ​Use a ladle to pour the batter. Ladles that come with crepe makers would usually hold enough batter for one entire crepe relevant to the crepe maker’s plate size.
  • ​Carefully spread the batter using the batter spreader.
  • When the surface has become less shiny, and the sides have started to brown, the crepe is ready for flipping.
  • When the bottom has finished cooling, flip your crepe using a spatula. Once flipped, make sure the crepe lies flat on the surface.
  • You may now add filling to your crepe
